Forensic Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness
Forensic Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (FPATH) is a program established under the Trueblood Contempt Settlement Agreement. It partners with the Health Care Authority (HCA) & the Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS), in collaboration with community stakeholders. FPATH is a voluntary, person-centered, low-barrier program that provides intensive case management using a harm-reduction approach.

FPATH staff work to build relationships with eligible individuals in the community, helping them access necessary supports. The program aims to reduce the likelihood of future involvement in the criminal legal system & improve long-term stability & wellness within the community.
FPATH provides outreach & intensive case management services to individuals with barriers to accessing behavioral health & community support. Services are designed for individuals who:

Have had two or more cases dismissed due to incompetency to stand trial in the past 24 months.

Are at risk of another incompetency finding

Assistance meeting basic needs

FPATH Intensive Case Management
Connecting high-risk & low-engagement individuals with essential services, including case management, peer support, & supportive housing. We also connect individuals with a mental health provider for up to 6 months.
Individuals may be referred to FPATH by Forensic Navigators & Diversion Navigators with DSHS. Eligibility is confirmed with HCA.
